Internet Police - London Signs Warn Against Accessing 'Extremist' Material

Posted on

In London Police signs have begun going up in internet cafes warning users that they could be reported to the police and face criminal charges if they access “extremist”, “offensive” or “inappropriate” material.

“Downloading or accessing certain material could constitute a criminal offence” states the bright pink sign.

Internet Police

Just consider what this means.  My website itself in the eyes of any government or police figure would be classed as extremist, I am even classed as a terrorist for saying what actually goes on.  So watch out, I've got a keyboard and I'm not afraid to use it.

This is just a total disregard for freedom, lets be honest, if your gonna look at porn in an internet cafe then you probably do need putting away, you just don't do that sort of thing in public, thats fair enough.  But what else is "offensive" "inappropriate" or "extremist"?

Its been left wide open, this is to say that the Internet will be monitored and anyone viewing anything deemed unsuitable by the person monitoring it can be removed, have the usage rights taken away and even face criminal charges!  We're just walking down the path to total fascism, one step at a time.  Theres a long road behind us, and you can see where we've been heading for some time, but we need to get a real connection on reality and get out of this bubble we're all living in.

I give it probably less that 3 years before websites like mine won't be 'legal'.  Hell, if I went into an internet cafe tomorrow to post a blog I could face criminal charges, so its not hard to see where we're heading.  They know how much the internet can potentially ruin their agenda by having free information at our hands, they want to shut it down, and they will. They are already developing a new internet and it will be used to replace this one when they come up with an excuse to abandon it.  I guarantee this will happen, and it won't be too far down the road.
